My name is Alan Eames and I’m originally from Iowa, raised on the farm, but now live in LA. My interest in self-employment stems from a very early age watching my Dad run his farm to support his family. I remember thinking how cool it was for Dad to be in charge of his own destiny. Of course, now, looking back, I realize there are lots of things to contend with other than just being your own boss. If you don’t do a good job, you’re out of business. So, as in farming, nursing (my mom), or any other occupation, knowing what you’re doing is part of the success formula. And part of this is keeping up with what is happening in the industry that you’re a part of.

I have been fascinated by the network marketing model since the 80s. My first introduction to the subject was A.L. Williams. If I only knew then what I know now…  I’ve read network marketing books up the wazoo (one wonders what the heck a wazoo is, anyway), studied sales and marketing, and have way more experience than I had then. Along the way, I started and ran my own electronics repair business. After that I worked for a non-profit human rights organization for 5 years. Now I am finally ready to start sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
